How to prepare for peak shopping events
From Back to School sales, Prime Day, Black Friday, Festive season and everything inbetween, peak events bring a surge of shoppers with high buying intent. The sellers who prepare early are the ones who can win big.
Start with a strong foundation
Before you chase deals and ads, make sure your account and products are set up to perform when traffic spikes.
Choose Fuflilment by Amazon
Let Amazon handle packing, shipping and returns
Active, buyable listings
Make sure your products are live and in stock.
Healthy account
Keep your Account Health Rating in good standing.
Strong product ratings
Higher-rated products qualify for deals and stand out to shoppers.
How to run a deal in 5 steps
1
Pick the promotion that fits
Choose the deal type that matches your product and goal — Voucher, Best Deal, Lightning Deal, or Price discount.
2
Check your eligibility
You need a Professional account in good standing, a 3.0★+ rating, FBA or Easy Ship, and to be in stock and winning the Featured Offer.
3
Meet the Seller Central criteria
Price below your recent price and add a list price. Offers that miss the criteria shown in Seller Central get suppressed, so shoppers never see them.
4
Get your stock in early
Send enough for the full deal window and aim to have inventory received 7–10 days before the deal starts. Only received, fulfillable stock counts.
5
Work backwards from the deadline
Submit your deal ahead of the event, then check its status about 48 hours before to clear any suppression while there is still time.
Attract shoppers with deals and savings
Stand out in a crowded event with the right mix of deals, vouchers, and offers that create urgency.
Create deals for your customers
Increase discoverability, drive conversion, and move overstock. Submit your deals either via Seller Central or email your deals sheet to:
