Fees

Standard selling fees

Our standard selling fees provide you with access to a package of Amazon tools and services. They’re divided into two basic types:

1. Selling plan fees
2. Referral fees

In addition to selling fees, you might have added costs if you use certain optional tools and programmes like Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) or Amazon Ads. Ultimately, you get to control the cost of selling in the Amazon store by selecting the programmes, tools, and services that are right for your business.

*Note: All listed fees are displayed excluding applicable VAT. VAT is additonal to all fees displayed.

Selling plan

Our selling plans give you the freedom to pay per sale or to stick to a flat monthly fee. You can change or cancel your plan at any time.

Referral fees

Amazon charges a referral fee for each item sold. The amount depends on the product category. Most referral fees are between 8% and 20%.

Until 31 March 2026, referral fees are reduced to a flat 5%.

Fulfilment plans

We offer a selection of fulfilment plans to help you fulfil your orders quickly and reliably.

Fulfilment fees

The cost to ship your orders depends on whether you fulfil your own orders completely or use Amazon fulfilment services like Amazon Easy Ship or Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).

Selling plans

We offer two selling plans so you can choose the right package of tools and services for the right price. Each plan also provides you with access to a specific group of optional programmes and tools.

Most sellers select our Professional selling plan because it provides them with a larger set of benefits that helps them manage and grow their businesses. If you don’t plan to sell more than 40 items per month, an Individual plan is a great option. There’s no need to worry about selecting the right plan: you can switch or cancel anytime.

ASIN

Every product in the Amazon store is automatically assigned an ASIN, or Amazon Standard Identification Number. This is different from the product’s GTIN and SKU. If you don’t have a GTIN for a product, you can try to match an offer to an existing product detail page using its ASIN instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to frequently asked questions about using Amazon for ecommerce.
How are Amazon FBA fees calculated?
FBA fees are calculated per item depending on its category, size, weight, and the channel on which the item is being sold. These cover the costs of storing your items in Amazon fulfilment centres, picking, packaging and shipping them once they are bought, and providing customer care.

These fees are charged per calendar month for all items stored in Amazon fulfilment centres. Based on the fulfilment channel used, you can get a preview of your revenue estimates (both total sales proceeds as well as per-unit sold estimates) using the FBA revenue calculator for specific items listed on Amazon.
What is the FBA calculator?
The FBA calculator is a preview tool that you can use to check and compare the estimated revenue for FBA, and for the products you have listed on Amazon. You can enter your total expected sales volumes to estimate your total proceeds, check per-unit sold estimates, and also compare the fees and profitability of FBA.
What is the difference between Amazon fees and FBA fees?
Amazon fees refer to the total charges all sellers have to pay in order to have products listed and sold on the Amazon website. This includes the referral fee, which is a percentage of the total price of your product excluding any taxes. It is charged for each item sold and varies by category.

Then, based on your selling plan, you may incur a per-item fee or a monthly fee. For example, the Professional Selling Plan requires a monthly subscription fee that also affords the user a range of benefits.

Apart from this, certain sellers may also need to pay additional fees either for premium services, marketing or for other reasons.

FBA (Fulfilment by Amazon) fees, on the other hand, are only charged for products that you have listed under this particular service. It is charged per unit based on the item's category, size and weight, and covers the cost to store, pick, pack and ship your products using FBA. If you have opted for this, these fees will be charged along with the other Amazon fees mentioned above.
