Seller Fulfilled return - should I just "complete" if not refunding?

Hi. A customer just returned a completely different item to the one purchased, with a spurious excuse, in an attempt at return fraud. Now, I am not going to refund them, but should I just click "complete" and leave them a message as to why they are not being refunded? Or should I go to "refund" and do a 100% refund reduction?

Cheers, Steve.

It may be an attempt to defraud you or it may be an innocent error on the customers behalf, but, if the customer has used an Amazon return label or has tracking to prove they have returned something to you they would win an A-Z claim. which they would definitely open.

Have you contacted the customer to explain you have received an incorrect item?

Hello @Seller_ciCPlj8jygtdi,

What has happened with this return since you last posted.

Did you contact the buyer, is there an AtoZ claim? Let me know if I can help.

Regards, Spencer
