Listings removed for trademark misuse but the word is an everyday word
Why did I just put myself through the pain of trying to speak to seller support. I have had a policy violation for trademark misuse for using the word guess in my title. The product I sell is a game and the word guess is part of the games title. Its nothing to do with the brand guess, its an action word. I had the same issue with another product a few weeks ago and spoke to seller support who passed it to the relevant team and it was sorted within 24 hours. Yet today I just got absolutely nowhere. I asked if they could pass it to the relevant team and was told no. Banging head against brick wall!!! Can one of the mods help?

That does seem an odd one. Normally you just have to verify that the word is being used in its dictionary defintion.
I've noticed the moderators do tend to get involved - though it appears they let a post go for two weeks before they jump in.

If its being used in its descriptive meaning then appeal it using this reason, ive had same issue with the word jockey.

The same happend to me for the word "spin". Turns out some american firm trade marked it in the 80's. Haven't been able to use it in the title since. Crazy!

Look, you are technically right... but seriously do you want to build a business or foundation based on seller support fixing this every time.
Rethink what your doing, if i said the same thing and i wanted to use the term apple because its a fruit - where and how far do you think i would get..

I've had a couple of similar senseless suspected violations recently. I sell MoD branded products and a few of my Royal Navy ships mugs were pulled because of "HMS" in the title. A Royal Dublin Fusiliers diary was pulled because of the word "Dublin". I just sigh and get on with building my sales on other platforms rather than try wrestling the snake that is AMZ.

I had one flagged for the word "canon"
it was in a product description which said
this supplement is canon to the original release
or something like that - it was even used in a sentence correctly but was flagged due to Canon cameras/photocopiers.
took 4 weeks but got it fixed -
