Ongoing Issue with Amazon Blocking Compliant Dermaplaning Tools

Hello everyone,

We’ve been facing an ongoing issue with Amazon UK blocking our female exfoliation tools due to a supposed requirement for approval. These products are dermaplane tools, which contain specialized exfoliation blades designed to remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz—they are not traditional razor blades and cannot be used in the same way.

Despite the fact that these tools are widely sold on Amazon and meet the exemption criteria for bladed products, our listings have been blocked, and we’ve been unable to get them reinstated. According to Amazon’s own guidelines, bladed products are restricted except for specific exemptions, including:

"Razor blades permanently enclosed in a cartridge or housing with less than 2 mm of blade exposed."

Our dermaplane tools fall under this exemption, as the blades are permanently enclosed and designed solely for safe, gentle exfoliation—they cannot cut skin. Yet, despite following all guidelines and providing supporting evidence, our appeals to Amazon have gone unanswered.

What makes this even more frustrating is that many other sellers, including international competitors, continue to list and sell identical products without issue. It seems like an inconsistency in enforcement, and we know we’re not the only sellers impacted by this kind of arbitrary restriction.

Has anyone else faced similar problems with Amazon blocking products that clearly comply with their policies? How have you managed to get past these restrictions? We would appreciate any advice, and hopefully, by bringing attention to this issue, we can push Amazon to address it properly.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

@Angie_Amazon@Sarah_Amzn Are you able to further assist?

Thanks,
