Subject: Access Revoked – Need Assistance with Report a Violation Tool
Hello Amazon Sellers & Support Team,
I recently had my access to Amazon’s Report a Violation tool revoked due to what Amazon has classified as abusive conduct under the Intellectual Property for Rights Owners Policy. However, I believe this was a misunderstanding, and I am seeking guidance on how to properly resolve this issue.
Background of the Issue:
• I am a new brand owner who recently registered my trademark in the UK and was under the impression that this allowed me to enforce my intellectual property rights across multiple Amazon marketplaces.
• Due to my limited experience with the Brand Registry tools, I may have misclassified some reports or reported sellers incorrectly, thinking they were violating my brand rights.
• I have already filed an appeal, explaining the situation and the corrective actions I have taken, including:
• Reviewing Amazon’s IP policies
• Implementing a more structured verification process before reporting
• Expanding my trademark registrations to ensure regional coverage
• Unfortunately, my appeal was denied, and Amazon has stated that their decision is final unless I submit new information.
My Questions & Help Needed:
1. Has anyone successfully reinstated access to the Report a Violation tool after a revocation?
2. What additional steps or new information can I provide in a follow-up appeal?
3. Would it help to work with an Amazon consultant or legal expert to address this?
I am fully committed to complying with Amazon’s policies and ensuring that all future IP reports are accurate and valid. Any advice, insights, or success stories from others who have faced a similar issue would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
