when will the current glitches be fixed though?

My VTR is always low due to Royal Mail not scanning items and I'm worried that as I am already below 95% because of these, the couple of local orders I delivered by hand (self delivery) are showing as Invalid on my VTR report

When will those self delivered orders change from Invalid on the report back to exempt ? will it be before 25th February ?

And can you confirm if Royal Mail Large Letters and Parcels with no scans will still be validated for VTR as that statement has been removed from the policy pages

I'd just like to point out that the UK has been added to the cross borders tracking requirement list, which wasn't on the original Jan 15th thread OP.

It however HASN'T been added to the cross border shipment exemptions, meaning that anything sent from the UK to anywhere outside the UK will now require tracking, regardless of the value of the order.

It also appears that RM24/48 are now no longer able to be used, since the line about Amazon verifying the tracking number hasn't been reinstated.

They're not saying it outright, but it looks like your choices are now Buy Shipping, Fully Tracked services with integrated carriers, or Self-Delivery.

Which means Self-Delivery is about to start getting selected by people A LOT, so that will be the next option Amazon take away because they're incapable of conceiving of the idea that they made a mistake.

Hi @Ezra_Amazon this doesn't give sellers enough time to makes the required changes and have those changes reflect in their trailing 30-day VTR score.

It would have been fine if the only changes to the policy were the ones that were announced months ago. But we've now got to contend with the unnanounced changes to the unscanned items policy. Sellers have already dispatched items that have not been scanned and will be on their VTR report when enforcement starts. That's not fair, because at the point sellers dispatched those items they did not know this change to the unscanned items policy was happening.

@Ezra_Amazon - sellers are very angry about these changes.

They were with the first lot of VTR, but at least it eventually made some sense.

Now amazon are making changes, and then making more changes but not even advising that they've made them.

it's a complete mess.

@Ezra_Amazon Are unscanned Royal Mail Large Letters and Parcels still validated? It is useless advising sellers to contact Royal Mail to resolve this as they have already stated that they cannot guarantee all large letters will receive delivery scans. Therefore this is not a solution. There are so many unanswered questions across numerous threads. How can we make the required changes in time if you cannot answer our questions?

There has been SO much uncertainty on this over the past few days/weeks (e.g. removing text on the policy page, with no announcements/telling us). I think if you start deactivating listings over this, there will be A LOT of sellers impacted and therefore a lot of sales lost for sellers and Amazon over a communication issue. I think there needs to be more clarity on this. I have asked moderators on the forums, with no answers yet. I think there needs to be more communication or clarity on this first. Please review this carefully! sellers have been trying their best to get answers, by speaking with Amazon and reading the policy pages... and most sellers are likely still unaware if they need to take action.

In a previous thread, amazon clarified that untracked royal mail DE4 services for letterboxable items under 20 euros such as books won't be affected.

However in all European marketplaces these are showing up on the VTR problem report, despite being letterboxable size and using that service. I've checked Amazon's own measurements on books and they fit within royal mail international letterbox size easily but are still showing as negatives on VTR.

Therefore I am currently expecting Amazon to take action against our account despite it following their policies.

This urgently needs to be escalated to the team to create the VTR failure report as I can imagine every media seller is in the same situation and our collective deactivations in Europe on 25th February will have a massive impact on Amazon's sales there, lead to lack of customer choice and higher prices, and given that we willl all have been unfairly deactivated while following the new policy likely lead to more negative publicity.

I would suggest that the simply way of solving this is to exclude books and other media categories in international sales from VTR if under Euro20, as your policy suggests would happen.
