Who is the Customer ??
We all sell on Amazon, my question is who is the customer???
We have only the address details where the order is going,, we receive monies from Amazon less fees for the sale of goods.
Where do we stand from a legal stance, it appears to me Amazon is my Customer.
I look forward to your comments.

Amazon is your supplier. They provide services which you pay for, such as collecting monies from the buyer and passing this on to you less their fees. They thus act as a payment provider. You are Amazon's customer in this regard.
The buyer is your customer as they are buying from you, not Amazon. If you run order reports (prior to marking as dispatched) you can see the billing address as well as the delivery address, so you can see who the buyer is and who the recipient is, if different.

I think this is one of the most confusing aspects of trading on Amazon.
Amazon have this attitude that the customer is mutual, but they decide how mutual it is. Break the rules and you can no longer play in their playground.
I personally have the feeling that Amazons policy may not be aligned with consumer law, but more business contractual law.

Can a seller block a customer on Amazon?
No, you cannot block a buyer. They are Amazon's customers not yours.

Ultimately the customer is the person/company/entity that pays for the item/service.
The seller is not nessesarily who directly takes that payment, eg on my own site Stripe actually take the payment and pass it on less their fees a few days later, on Amazon they take the payment and pass it on less their fees a few weeks later.
Selling on Amazon is a choice sellers make, by doing so they'll sign upto Amazons terms and conditions which restricts things like blocking certain buyers or being able to market directly to them after an initial sale.

According to amazon the customer is whoever buys from you, however amazon decides what you can and can't do or can and can't see which most of the time boarders on illegal and sometime breaches legality such as when amazon tries to tell sellers that they can not pursue their legal rights or its against amazons terms and conditions.
effectively amazon portrays themselves as "just the middle man" but effectively try to control both the customer and the seller so they benefit from both and when something goes wrong its the seller that pays for it and its nothing to do with amazon

If you are asking who to address in case of a problem: first, always try to solve it directly with the customer.
If you lose any money, you will need to open a SAFE-T claim to recover your loss.
Customers are considered our customers unless they try to steal or make the situation complicated.
At that point, you can no longer deal directly with the customer you have to deal with Amazon.
Even if you are 100% sure the customer stole the order, you cannot take them to court or claim money directly from them.
So, who the "customer" is, and how you deal with them, changes depending on the circumstances.
