You’ll have the choice to join FBA as a fulfilment option as soon as you sign up to sell on Amazon. If you’re completely new to selling on Amazon, the first step is to register as a seller.
Create your Amazon selling account, and login to Seller Central to proceed to the next step of setting up FBA. You can review FBA costs and get an estimate for each product you want to enrol in the program.

Create product listings
Once you add products to the Amazon catalogue, specify FBA inventory.

Prepare products
Prepare the products for safe and secure transportation to a fulfilment centre, according to Amazon packing guidelines and shipping and routing requirements.

As a selling partner, you'll naturally want to determine if the FBA programme's fees are right for your products and business. FBA fees are designed to be cost-effective for diverse product types. All shipping costs are included.
Note: We have extended our reduced rate of our Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) referral fees to a flat 5% and waived our storage, removal, and disposal fees until 31 March 2026. Start inbounding now.
Inventory storage fees
These are charged for all items stored in an Amazon fulfilment centre, based on your daily average volume of inventory measured in cubic metres. Inventory storage rates are charged at R36 per cubic meter.
Referral fees
All sellers (regardless of plan type) pay a referral fee on each item sold.
Fulfilment fees
Removal order fees
These fees cover the picking, packing, shipping and handling of your customer’s orders, customer service and product returns for your products. They’re charged per unit according to the unit’s dimensions and weight.
You can choose to have Amazon return or dispose of your inventory within a fulfilment centre for a per-item fee.
